OUR Pastors
Hey there! It’s Andy and Sarah, the Pastors of Reunion. We started this church because we love Jesus. We know that he has the power to break chains and transform lives, heal, grow and bring new life - even now. We know this because he’s done it for each of us, keeps doing it again and again.
We’ve had the benefit of belonging to a healthy, vibrant community of believers and we know what it looks like when Jesus followers practice what they preach. It’s good. It’s better than good - it’s life-giving, city-prospering, fruit-bearing. And we want that for our world.
Andy is a third-generation Pastor, a theologian with a Masters in Divinity who constantly consumes knowledge. He comes from a long lineage of Jesus followers. His dad planted a church in their living room growing up, and when Andy came to Oakland to visit a church supported by his church, he fell in love with this city and felt called to it.
Sarah grew up in Oakland. She was skeptical about religion, and although she attended a local Catholic Church with her family, she had never read the Bible. Her faith lapsed for decades, when she walked through the doors of her local church and got to know Jesus for the first time.
God brought us together and then he brought us to Oakland and we’re honored to know and serve this community.
